Integrated Support Against Discrimination

Rainbow House Verona (RHV) is a project designed to offer complete and integrated support to LGBTQIA+ individuals who experience discrimination, violence, or are in conditions of vulnerability.

Our services, resulting from the synergy between Pianeta Milk, Circolo Pink LGBTE, and Comunità dei Giovani, are free, confidential, anonymous, and accessible to all adults.

The Desk is our first point of contact, a safe place where you can share your story and receive initial support.

Access

The Desk is located at the Pianeta Milk headquarters, Via Scuderlando, 137, Verona (VR), also accessible to people with motor disabilities.

Functions

The specialized operators will welcome you for an initial listening session, evaluating your needs and directing you to the most suitable service. Our team will collect information in a protected and confidential manner to activate the necessary assistance pathway.

From the first contact, you can access a wide network of professionals for targeted and personalized support. These services are available both for those who only use the Desk and for those who are included in the residential reception program.

Psychological Support

We offer psychological and psychotherapeutic consultations with professionals experienced in LGBTQIA+ issues. Ethno-psychological pathways and a supervision service for our operators are also provided.

Legal Support

We offer legal advice from civil or criminal lawyers regarding legal documents, with experience in LGBTQIA+ matters and asylum for reasons of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Health Support

Evaluation of any health situations requiring specialist support from Pianeta Milk's network of volunteer doctors, coordinated by an in-house psychiatrist with experience in LGBTQIA+ and sexual health.
Users will be supported in accessing the public or private health system.
Volunteer peer-educators from Milk also offer counselling sessions on risk issues, sexual health, HIV, STIs, and HIV-related stigma.

Socio-cultural and/or linguistic-cultural mediation

A socio-cultural mediator figure is provided, with training and experience in anthropology with LGBTQIA+ migrants.

For those in a situation of housing emergency, we offer a safe refuge in our two Welcome Houses, managed by Circolo Pink and Comunità dei Giovani.

Bed Spaces

We have 6 bed spaces (4 in one house and 2 in the other), guaranteeing 24/7 coverage.

Personalized Project

We don't just offer accommodation: together with you, our operators will develop an Individualized Assistance Plan to establish objectives, tools, and timelines for your path towards autonomy, covering the costs of food, accommodation, and essential goods.

Socio-legal guidance: support for housing and employment autonomy

We offer socio-legal consultation for managing bureaucratic-administrative procedures. Guidance on housing autonomy through support pathways for finding accommodation.
Guidance on employment, through an analysis of skills and needs, the development of basic skills, and active job search support in the local area.

Our Commitment

Rainbow House Verona is not just a service, but a network project. We collaborate with the Municipality of Verona and with various local associations and institutions such as ULSS 9 Scaligera, Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Integrata di Verona, GASP!, CESAIM, and the University of Verona. Our network is committed to disseminating information and making access to services increasingly simple.
